Kelly Schultz

Kelly Schultz has been the Radio Play-by-play Announcer for the Bemidji State University women's hockey game broadcasts since 2007. She lives in Bemidji, Minnesota with her husband Brian.

Kelly Schultz has been working in radio full-time since 1999.

She and her husband Brian have lived in Bemidji, Minnesota since 2004. They have an English Cocker Spaniel named "Stark."

The 2016-17 season marks Kelly's 10th season as the radio play-by-play announcer for Bemidji State University women's hockey. She is a "one-woman-show" on game nights. Kelly engineers, produces, announces and board ops her own game broadcasts.

Kelly got her start on the football sidelines in 2002 after moving to Brainerd, Minnesota. She was the radio sideline reporter for the Brainerd High School football radio broadcasts during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. When Kelly and Brian moved to Bemidji in 2004, she took the sidelines for Bemidji State University football during Brian's radio broadcasts for R.P. Broadcasting.

In 2009-10, Kelly was the radio play-by-play for Cass Lake-Bena High School boys basketball and baseball. Her first Panther hoops broadcast was at the 2009 Minnesota State High School Boys Basketball Tournament. Over the course of 12 years, Kelly has done play-by-play for Bemidji High School girls and boys soccer, along with Kelliher/Northome Mustang 9-man football games.

Kelly worked part-time for Lakeland Public Television in Master Control, along with fill-in weather anchor and fill-in sports anchor duties.

Besides working in sports broadcasting, Kelly is a self-taught fashion designer, milliner and seamstress. She is the owner of Angeline Alice Millinery, Designs & Alterations. Kelly has been known to whip up one-of-a-kind costumes, fascinators and hats for friends and family.

Kelly's hobbies include sewing, biking around Lake Bemidji, walking her dog, reading, social media, stargazing through her telescope, collecting sports memorabilia, watching sports and movies with her husband.

Kelly is married to Brian.
Kelly and Brian have been married for 23 years. They don't have any kids (yet), but have had a black tabby "Kirby" and a Cocker Spaniel named "Bucky" who preceded their current fur-babies.
